Course overview
This introductory course focuses on getting students speaking Chinese as quickly as possible in order to build confidence. In order to establish a basic foundation, 100 vocabulary and 50 phrases that are absolutely essential to speaking Chinese will be covered.

Prior to the first actual lesson a self-study pronounciation guide will be provided. We strongly recommend students practice Chinese phonetics before each class as this will greatly accelerate the learning process. |

This lesson teaches the proper method of politely greeting somebody for the first time. Basic counting is also covered. |

Visiting China entails frequent restaurant visits. This lesson deals with practical skills in ordering food and making common requests while in a restaurant. |

This lesson introduces the concept of asking questions using the 5 W's (who, what, where, why and when). Important vocabulary as well as the concept of directions is also covered. |
